UConn Will Hold Press Conference To Discuss NCAA ‘Notice of Allegations” Concerning the Recruiting of Nate Miles; Two Assistant Coaches Resign

It seems that we may finally get some news about the UConn recruiting scandal, after an NCAA investigation that has already lasted 14 months.

The Hartford Courant reports that UConn is scheduled to hold a Press Conference tomorrow morning at 10:00 to provide an update on the investigation.

UConn assistant coaches Patrick Sellers and Beau Archibald have resigned in advance of the Press Conference.

Archibald made many of the excessive number of phone calls to former UConn Manager and Agent Josh Nochimson, revolving around the recruitment of Nate Miles.  He also is reported to have two ‘letters of admonishment’ in his personnel file, at least one regarding a recruiting violation regarding Miles.

It is not clear what role Sellers played in the recruitment of Miles.

UConn is expected to reveal the NCAA’s notice of allegations, and will have 90 days in which to respond.
