UConn 2010 Recruiting Class Ranked 21st By MaxPreps

With the end of the regular signing period, maxpreps.com has updated their 2010 recruiting class rankings.

Connecticut finishes up with a class ranked 21st in the nation, signing Roscoe Smith, Jeremy Lamb, Shabazz Napier, Michael Bradley, and Tyler Olander.

With the flip-flop of Terrence Jones, who reneged on his verbal commitment to Washington to sign with Kentucky, the Wildcats now have the top ranked class, passing Memphis.

Did you know that New Haven native David Beckerman, founder of Starter, was Brandon Knight’s coach in HS?

      Thanks for your comments!

Regarding David Beckerman — I remember reading a while back that Knight’s coach was from New Haven, and that perhaps that was part of the reason for Knight’s interest in UConn. I did not realize he was also the founder of Starter, or that the company was started in New Haven.
